Over It!
Over It! is a contemporary news podcast created by two journalists determined to challenge the misinformation, bias, and noise dominating mainstream media. Their goal: to build a space where activism, advocacy, and politics could be discussed in a way that’s digestible, safe, and—most importantly—equitable.
From the outset, the visual identity was shaped by the tone and mission of the show. During the research phase, visual references rooted in grassroots activism were explored. The final logo features two crossed arms, a symbol of defiance that reflects the creators’ frustration with traditional political coverage. Layered over the leading arm, the bold all-caps “OVER IT!” type delivers an immediate, no-nonsense message—positioning the podcast as bold, unapologetic, and deeply informed.
To balance the assertive tone with the creators’ request for a softer, more refined aesthetic, the visual palette leans into muted mauve, light pink, and white. The result is a color system that feels feminine yet inclusive, approachable without sacrificing edge—visually signaling that critical conversations can be both powerful and welcoming.
