COMPLETED

2019–2021

Marcus & Millichap’s investment sales professionals relied on a wide range of brochures, research, service overviews, market data, and other materials when presenting the firm’s capabilities to clients.

I created an interactive Digital Company Overview that brought frequently used information together within one flexible, presentation-ready experience. The tool gave professionals a cohesive way to communicate the firm’s track record, services, specialization, market expertise, and national reach.

Rather than functioning as a linear presentation, the experience supported the natural flow of a client conversation—allowing users to move directly to the information most relevant to each audience and opportunity.

OVERVIEW

Different client conversations required different combinations of corporate messaging, service details, market intelligence, and proof points.

The experience needed to organize a large amount of information without becoming another dense corporate presentation. It also needed to remain intuitive during live meetings, reinforce the Marcus & Millichap brand, and provide consistency across a national organization of more than 2,000 professionals.

THE CHALLENGE

DESIGNED AROUND THE CONVERSATION

The Digital Company Overview was organized around the questions that commonly arise during business-development conversations.

A persistent navigation system allowed users to move directly between the firm’s track record, foundation, partnership model, areas of specialization, services, and market-making capabilities.

Content was divided into focused sections with recognizable entry points. Repeated layouts and interaction patterns created consistency while supporting different combinations of copy, imagery, statistics, maps, and market information.

This nonlinear structure allowed users to deliver a comprehensive company introduction or move immediately to a specific capability without searching through unrelated slides. The result was less like a traditional brochure and more like a modular sales platform built around conversation.

VISUALIZING NATIONAL SCALE

Marcus & Millichap’s size and market coverage were important parts of the company story, but those ideas needed to be communicated quickly.

Maps, statistics, office information, service categories, and other proof points transformed the scale of the organization into something visible and understandable.

By bringing core messaging and supporting information into one branded experience, the overview also provided a more consistent foundation for presentations across different markets, service lines, and client interactions.

THE OUTCOME

The Digital Company Overview transformed a broad collection of corporate and sales information into one cohesive interactive resource.

It gave professionals a flexible way to communicate the firm’s capabilities, services, and market expertise while demonstrating how thoughtful information architecture can make a complex organization easier to understand.
